Budding Rainbows
Where? Paisley,, Strathclyde
When? 26 May 2008
What's it about? We would like to grow and cultivate a child friendly orchard within our Nursery garden. The children already have sensory and vegetable/herb areas within the garden, having an orchard would enhance the children's opportunities to care for living things and would help with our healthy eating policy as we could grow organic fruit for our children and families. Volunteers for the project would help by using their big strong muscles to dig and prepare an area within the garden to plant the trees with the children and talk about how we care and look after plants. It would also give the Community a colourful sight to look at and perhaps encourage our children's families to grow some organic fruits at home.
