When? 1 March 2008
What's it about? We will be planting native trees and hedgerow plants on a part of the Middle wood way that is an important natural area used by local people for leisure and recreation - this will provide habitat for wildlife, especially nesting birds, as well as improving the appearance and natural beauty of the area for visitors. The volunteers will assist the rangers in a range of tree and hedgerow planting tasks and will learn about the principles of hedge-laying.
