What's it about? We have a total of 24 residents who each have their own garden plots here at Saltways; they vary in size with the largest measuring approximately five feet by eight feet. Key Tasks: These are the most important tasks that we need help with: - 1) To clear away any dead leaves, weeds, dead plants and litter from each of our resident’s garden plots. - 2) To prune any existing plants as necessary in each pl. - 3) To dead head any plants that require attention. - 4) To turn over the soil in each plot, and dig in compost as necessity. - 5) To plant and water in any plants that have been provided for each pl. - 6) To clear away all debris created as a result of the above activity. Additional Tasks: These are extra tasks that we would like help with, if time and resources permit it: - 1) To clear away dead leaves, weeds, dead plants and any litter from other flower beds near the car park, drive way and entrance to the building. - 2) To clear away dead leaves, weeds, dead plants and any litter from any planters and pots in the gardens.
