Our Back Garden Project
Where? Cricklade SWINDON SN6 6AX
When? 18 July 2009
What's it about? Thames Pre-School is a registered self funding charity. We are situated in Cricklade in the grounds of St Sampson’s Infant school and we are celebrating our 25th Anniversary this year. The Infant and Junior schools kindly agreed to extend the Pre-Schools lease plot to encompass the grass behind our building. This space measures approximately 42m by 13m. It is our intention to develop this plot into fun outdoor learning/play area for the children. Parent working parties have cleared overgrown areas and we have fundraised to finance a new boundary fence. We held a children’s garden design competition and have used these ideas to draw up a plan for what the garden will eventually look like. Work is in progress but there is still a lot to be done.
