Scrubbery Makeover and Scrub Clearance
Where? Gatton Park
When? 25th April 2008
What's it about? The shrubbery is at the beginning of a capability Brown circular walk. Part has been planted with dogwoods and other shrubs but bramble roots have taken hold in places. All weed growth will be removed and everyone shrubs pruned back. Ground cover to be planked and woodchip spread over bank at the end of the day.

Leigh Recreation Ground Reclamation

What's it about? We will remove dead branches from trees, clear overgrown area of playground of nettles and brambles. We will then plant in the cleared area.

Launching Limpsfield
Where? Oxted
When? 11/6/08
What's it about? We want to improve the entrance to our village to encourage visitors to enjoy the historic buildings and carefully tended gardens and shop fronts. Around 25- 30 volunteers are helping to dig out nettles, brambles and some dead trees and are preparing the ground for grass or planting. This project is to create an area of tough perennial planting around the Limpsfield area. Plants like Daisies, Nepala, Salvia and Cornus will be used, that will cope with no watering.

Butterflies, Flowers and Bumblebees

What's it about? We want to plant up a sensory garden with lots of flowers and herbs to attract wildlife, butterflies and bumblebees. We will be clearing old vegetation and replanting.
