Communal Floral Display: Global Warming

What's it about? A large wooden planter will be planted in the town square by volunteers. The theme of this year's communal planting is global warming and climate change. The planter is the centrepiece and will be planted with annuals to a design by local children to reflect global warming. Selected plants will be drought tolerant and be supplied with water retentive gel.

What's it about? Members of Erddig Environmental Youth Club will be undertaking a river clearance, removing litter from a stretch of the river Clywedog that runs through the Erddig estate.
The young people, aged 14-17 will work alongside wardens and be assisted by the local police cadets. This project will increase their understanding of the environment and increase awareness of health and safety issues.
