Beach Access Enforcement
Where? Blyth
When? 11th July 2009
What's it about? Erosion is a major problem on the dunes along their stretch of coast. It is made worse by horse riders riding through a blow-out on their way to the beach, instead of using the designated access points. Fencing exists round the blowout but has collapsed. The project is to reconstruct the fencing to prevent horses and people using the short cut to the beach and contributing to the erosion.
