Ashley Village Spring Clean

What's it about? Volunteers will remove litter from pavements and roadside verges in the village and roads around it. We will also plant cowslips in a recently reclaimed nature corner of the village.

Pocket Park Pond Day
Where? Kettering
When? 18/5/08
What's it about? Place new plants in the pond in the hospital's Pocket Park and cut back growth around the pond. Also renovate a bench near the pond and weed and prune the nearby butterfly garden. If we get enough volunteers we will also do some litter-picking.

Let's Build a Tepee

What's it about? We will be building a full size tepee in a beautiful urban wooded area. Its going to be used for children, and adults that are children at heart. It's going to take lots of hearts, minds and hands to get it right. Will be fun and instructive. We will use recycled, reclaimed materials which would otherwise end up in a landfill.

Join in and Build an Eco Friendly Round House

What's it about? Be part of the team to help us build an eco friendly round house to shelter us all from the rain and for cuppa's. This will be built from reclaimed/recycled materials providing shelter in our permaculture garden. We want to share our knowledge on materials to use, design and construct methods. Gatemaking at The Secret Garden

What's it about? The Secret Garden needs a new gate as the old gate is broken, so now is the chance to help with a new one. Volunteers will help with construction from design to erection. The gate will mainly be made from recycled materials which would otherwise be taken to a landfill.
