What's it about? The volunteers, who are all mental health service users, will construct a dual purpose garden structure to store communal bikes and to provide a feeding station, hibernation store and wildlife observation platform to attract more bees, birds, bats and butterflies, hedgehogs and invertebrates to assist in the maintenance of their award winning herb, fruit and vegetable garden in order to work towards full organic status.

What's it about? We would love to hang more bird and bat boxes for nesting and feeders. The children are keeping the bird feeders full and they are also keeping the nest boxes clean after the baby bird have grown and gone.The adults are going to hang them. All the community like to watch the birds.

Garden Alive!
Where? St Weonards
When? 26 June 2009
What's it about? We wish to develop an area of the school that is over-run and untidy into a pleasant garden area with flower borders and seating. The area has a path that runs next to it and is used regularly by members of the community. It will also have a scientific benefit when finished for children to observe different plants growing. Pupils, teachers and parent volunteers will help with the work to clear the sight; and then plant an interesting variety of plants and flowers in designated areas.
