Ashworth's Rustic Weekend
Where? Conwy
When? 18 July 2009
What's it about? Monitoring moth populations at top of Sychnant Pass, one of Wales' most important sites for Lepidoptera. Two rarities, Ashworths Rustic & Weaver's Wave occur here, and nowhere else in the world. Volunteers will run moth traps overnight and identify the catch, with expert training on hand. More volunteers = more moth traps! Results will be used to inform the conservation of these BAP priority species and for reserve management.

Bat Box Bonanza
Where? Penrhyndeudraeth

What's it about? The project will involve building bat boxes at the north wales wildlife trust reserve at Gwaith powdwr,Penrhyndeudraeth. Most of the day will be spent building the boxes, and hopefully we will be able to put some up around the reserve. Other boxes will be erected at other north wales wildlife trust reserves.

Glanhaur Glaslyn

What's it about? A day will be spent litter picking on the Noth Wales Wildlife Trusts Nature Reserve 'Traeth Glaslyn'. The Esturay Reserve is situated by the main raod into porthmadog and has quite a litter problem. The volunteers will also help in repairs to the bird hide on the site.
