What's it about? During the term we will make bird boxes with the children both in school and at home. On the day we will hold an open party to place the homes in the ground inviting the parents/friends of the children in to school; dressing up as "things that fly" and educating the community in what is needed to keep birds in our garden.

What's My Footprint Doing?
Where? Carmarthen
When? 3rd July 2008
What's it about? Each pupil will cut out a footprint from recycled card and write a promise which can have a positive effect on the environment. These will be displayed in the school for the community to see. The children will then be helping with a litter pick and working on the school gardens. They will be making posters as well that remind us of all the things we can do to help our environment.

Adeilada Focs / Build a box

What's it about? This project is aimed at Primary school children and will take place during the summer holidays. The aim of the project is to hold workshops where children and their parents are invited to make bird and bat boxes which will the be taken to a nearby woods and fixed to trees.

Collect, Crush and Create
Where? Haverfordwest
When? 15 April 2008
What's it about? We hope to dramatically improve the current recycling facilities in the school, with pupils taking responsibility for co-ordination. This will involve, litter picking, anti-litter and recycling poster workshops, re-cycling cans, plastic bottles and reducing the amount of paper we use on a daily basis. We want all pupils to take part in improving the school but have an eco-club which will lead the project.

What's it about? Planting up triangular flowerbed by post box. The ground will be weeded and prepared by adding compost from village compost heap. Then plant collected and planted into the ground, watering and weeding when needed.

What's it about? Planting up tubs, first the tubs will be cleared of bulbs from spring flowers, compost gathered from village compost heap and tubs filled. The plants are collected from a local nursery a will be planted. Watering will go on twice a week or as needed
