Screening Using Natural Methods for Habitat Creation
Where? Cockermouth
When? 3 May 2008
What's it about? We recently obtained a new container for equipment storage. We would like to have the container blend into the environment. In order to do this we would like to plant a hedge around the container. The hedge should be based on local hedging plants. In addition to the hedge we also plan in putting a small fence around the container entrance area and would like to incorporate bird boxes and hardy climbing plants as part of the screening. Our long term objective is to use natural screening methods to hide the container. This would help reduce the visual impact of the container and provide a natural habitat for birds and insects.
