What's it about? We hope to plant flowering shrubs and bushes around the entrance to our local native reserve. This will not only make the entrance visually attractive but will also encourage and attract wildlife in to the area.

River Tees Mammal Tracking Trail
Where? Middlesbrough

What's it about? Young people aged 16-25 are invited to; take part in a 2.5 mile guided walk around the Marsh and River. They will pick-up litter from around this area, as well as learning about tracking and surveying of mammals including otters and seals.

Re-planting of Flowers and Shrubs In and Around Caotham Memorial Hall

What's it about? All of the 18 flower barrels, 3 wall brackets, 4 flower and shrub beds need to be tidied and re-planted. The necessary process of renewing the compost in the containers is a costly and lengthy one. General maintenance will continue throughout the year.

Growing Together
Where? Stockton-on-Tees

What's it about? Newtown Community Resource Centre and it's volunteer group of both children and adults are to maintain and improve the grounds around the centre by planting up the flowerbeds. The centre is utilised daily by a large number of the community who visit to access our free facilities and courses. The children have also created a wildlife garden at the rear of the building where we have a huge old oak tree which houses a number of squirrels which feed.
