Langley Litter Pick

What's it about? The Langley Litter Pick will take place on Langley Park Country Park on Sunday 27th July 2008. The Friends of Langley Park, a local voluntary group, will take part in the activity, along with anyone else who would like to take part. The activity will be advertised locally. The project will be supervised by Bucks Country Parks Team and will involve a 2 hour all-hands-on-deck litter pick session where we will target the park's litter hot-spots. Refreshments and equipment will be provided to all volunteers throughout the event, thanks to the Action Earth Grant.

What to wear/bring: Sturdy Footwear, Protective Clothing, Waterproof clothing in case it rains

What's it about? Volunteers will tidy footpath, clear scrub from bed of disused Buckingham Canal ready for re-watering and install interpretation board which gives history of canal and description work of the society

Cleaner Greener Litter Pick

What's it about? We need to clear away general litter from grass verges, playing fields, ditches, footpaths etc. Volunteers will be briefly trained, then in pairs will collect up litter, bringing sacks back to a central collecting point. This is to prepare the village for a Circular Walk, another of the projects of our Conservation Group.

Secret Garden

What's it about? One area of our school is an overgrown strip of land/wilderness. We are going to develop this into a wildlife area through the creation of a bog garden, path creation and the creation of pathways through a heavily scrubbed area to create a secret garden for science and creative learning.
